Congratulations Cambridge-Isanti - 2009 varsity state champions!

2nd - Burnsville; 3rd - Mankato East

Cambridge-Isanti was undefeated heading into the championship against Burnsville. Cambridge-Isanti won the first game making it look like they would take care of business quickly. Then Burnsville came back and won the next two games to win the match 2-1. In the final match Burnsville again remained hot and won game 1. Burnsville had won 3 games in a row and it looked like Burnsville was destined to be state champions. But Cambridge-Isanti came back to life and bowled like they had most of the day. That in combination with a few key splits/misses for Burnsville enabled Cambridge-Isanti to win the final match 2-1 and earn the right to call themselves 2009 varsity state champions.

Special thanks to Mike Mason for taking all these photographs
