Juan Valdez International Family Tournament

$70,000 in scholarships will be awarded at the 2010 International Finals (near Arlington, Texas).

FOUR teams from Minnesota will win a chance to compete for first place prizes of $5,000.00!

 

Over the past three years this tournament has awarded more than

$15,000 in scholarships, awards, and stipends at the Minnesota State Finals.

Information for interested bowlers

  • This tournament features seven divisions:

    • Youth/Parent

    • Teen/Parent

    • Youth/Adult

    • Teen/Adult

    • Youth/Youth (siblings only)

    • Teen/Teen (siblings only)

    • Youth/Teen (siblings only)

    A parent can be a mother, father, step-father,  step-mother, grandfather or grandmother. Any other relative would be classified as an "adult" rather than a "parent."

  • An estimated $6,000+ in scholarships will be awarded at the 2010 State Finals (at AMF City Limits in Rosemount).

  • The State champions AND State runners-up (four teams total) in the youth/parent and teen/parent divisions will win trips to the 2010 International Finals.

  • Teams pay $30.00 to bowl at the house-level.

    $18.00 goes to the bowling center to pay for linage. $12.00 is a tournament participation fee (tournament costs & administration).

  • Teams that qualify for the State Finals pay $18.00 to cover the cost of linage at the State Finals.

  • Team handicap is 100% of 440.

 

 

Information for interested

BPAM member centers

  • House-level qualifiers can be run as often as you like, whenever you like, anytime from November 1, 2009 through April 4, 2010. Run one qualifying block that lasts for several months or run a new qualifying block every week. It's your choice!

  • You earn $18.00 in lineage for each team that competes at the house level.

  • This tournament helps to promote family bowling and realize the value or potential of establishing youth/adult leagues within your bowling center

  • 2' x 3' promotional posters are available free of charge.

  • Josh at the BPAM would be happy to customize up to 100 promotional flyers for your bowling center to help you advertise the tournament to your bowlers.

  •  If you have youth / adult leagues, this tournament will be easy to gain participation.
