All 18 teams will participate in a 2-game qualifier. For each game, a coach can designate 8 players to be eligible for that game.

All 18 teams will advance onto the next level of the tournament where teams will compete in pool play. Teams will be assigned to one of two pools based on their pin-fall during the 2-game qualifier. Each pool will have 9 teams in it and each team will bowl a 2-game match against each team in its pool.  Each team will compete in 8 matches (16 games) of pool play. For each MATCH the coach must designate a maximum of eight players that are eligible to compete in that particular match.

The goal in a 2-game match is to outscore your opponent over two games (i.e. your team can get outscored by 10 pins in the first game, but if your team wins the second game by 11 pins your team wins the match). Each match is worth three points and the match winner is awarded all 3 points. If a tie exists after two games then each team will get 1.5 points. 

At the conclusion of pool play the four teams with the highest number of points from each pool will advance to the final level of the tournament – an eight-team bracket tournament. The other ten teams will be done for the day. In the case of a tie in pool play, tiebreakers will be the following: 1st - results of head to head competition; 2^nd – total pins knocked down in pool play; 3^rd - highest game bowled during pool play; 4^th – 2^nd highest game bowled in pool play. 

The “Final 8” is a single elimination tournament (using the same 2-game match format), with a consolation bracket. Coaches may designate 8 players to be used for each match.
