v This tournament can be run by any bowling center that is a member in good standing of the Bowling Proprietors Association of Minnesota.
v Bowling centers do not have to pay a participation fee to run this tournament.
v Qualifying is typically done during youth leagues, but special qualifiers can be run in absence of organized leagues.
v There is $13,400 in scholarships available at the State Finals. The BPAM believes this is one of the country’s highest
paying scholarship tournaments at the state/local level.
v Time Frame: House Qualifying can take place 1-3 weeks between October 12 & November 8, 2009
v This is an average bracket tournament where boys and girls compete with each other.
v Entry fee is $24.00 per bowler (covers the cost of bowling at all three levels of the tournament)
$12.65 for lineage
$9.10 for scholarships
$2.25 for administrative expenses
v This tournament has three levels: house qualifying, district roll-offs & State Finals
v Advancement ratio from the house level to the district level is 1:4 in each of the nine (10) divisions.
v Handicap is 90% of the difference between the bowlers average and 210
v This tournament has a USBC Youth moral sanction. The tournament is sanctioned, but bowlers need not be to participate.
v 2009-10 State Finals to be in January of 2010 at The Mermaid in Mounds View, MN.
