v Bowling centers do NOT have to be members of the Bowling Proprietors Association of Minnesota to run this tournament.
v This tournament is USBC Youth certified and bowlers DO need to have a USBC Youth certified average in order to participate.
v In-house qualifying can be run two times each year, once in the winter and once in the spring. Qualifying is done through youth leagues.
v This tournament offers six divisions to compete in:
* Boys 11 & under HDCP * Girls 11 & under HDCP
* Boys 12 & over Scratch * Boys 12 & over HDCP
* Girls 12 & over HDCP * Girls 12 & over Scratch
v There is more than $12,800 in scholarships and awards available at the State Finals.
v This tournament has 3 levels: house qualifying, district roll-offs & state finals
v Entry fee for bowlers in the 11& under divisions is $21.00 (covers the cost of bowling at all three levels of the tournament)
o $12.60 for lineage
o $3.00 for administrative expenses
o $4.00 for awards and scholarships
v Entry fee for bowlers in the 12 & over divisions is $25.00 (covers the cost of bowling at all three levels of the tournament)
o $15.60 for lineage
o $4.40 for administrative expenses
o $5.00 for awards and scholarships
v Advancement ratio from the house level to the district level is 1:4 in each of the six (6) divisions.
v Advancement ratio from the district to state level is 1:5 in each of the six divisions.
v Handicap is 100% of the difference between the bowlers average and 210
v 2011 State Finals to be held the first weekend in May at AMF Saxon in Little Canada
